I was born in the Netherlands and graduated with a Master of Science degree in ecology from Utrecht University in the Netherlands in 1985. I obtained my PhD in the field of Grassland Ecology and Social Science at Wageningen University in the Netherlands in 2002.

Prof. Dr. Dominique A. Vuitton

Professor emeritus of Clinical Immunology at the Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté. Medical Specialities: Internal Medicine, Digestive Diseases and General Surgery. PhD in Immunology and MSc in Human Biology.

Prof. Luca Settanni

Luca Settanni is associate professor of Agricultural Microbiology at University of Palermo – Italy. His research topics are mainly included in the food microbiology, considering several genetic, physiological and technological aspects of lactic acid bacteria and yeasts isolated from fermented food matrices

Dr. Céline Delbès

Senior Scientist at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), Cheese Research group of Aurillac (UMR 545 Fromage, Université Clermont-Auvergne, INRA, VetAgroSup), France. She received her Ph.D. in Microbial Ecology from the University of Lyon in 2000.

Biotechnology, Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology-Spanish National Research Council (IATA-CSIC), Valencia, Spain.

Dr. Milena Brasca

Researcher scientist at the National Research Council of Italy, responsible for the Milano Section of the Institute of Sciences of Food Production.

Her primary research activity is focused on agri-food microbiology, molecular biology and bio-molecules characterization.
